Snow where?
I have to say I was so excited to get a message from a classmate, friend, fellow photographer. I remember seeing the words snow, pictures and knew I was all in! The plans were simple, hope we get a big snow and then see when we can all have time to meet up for fun family pictures in the snow! Just a few days later it hit, hurray for the snow! Of course now time was of the essence as it was the beginning of the week... will it hold out til the weekend? what day will have the best possible weather? oh and location location location? Finally here comes Saturday, directions in hand, snow still on the ground, off I go. Knowing full well the expectations and desire for a ton of snow to set the scene, I have to admit I was slightly thrown off by the lack there of when reaching the location. It appears someone was misleading.... (don't worry Daddy Spoon, I won't rat you out), a bench requested to be brushed off had a path shoveled to it thus removing even more snow from the scene, we see grass (again Daddy Spoon, secret is safe with me). The look on Andy's face was priceless as he says you know I am not shoveling the snow BACK to cover the path!?Aware the disappointment I felt in the snow quantity and seeing it on my dear Karissa's face I just couldn't do it, couldn't let her settle! So off to back by where they live, where they know there is snow! Icicle fight, tears, snow angels and cold fingers made it a pretty fast session, I am still excited at what we were able to shoot and hope they enjoy! Here is the Ham Family Winter Fun Sneak Peek!
