They told me that the moon will not shine forever....
Oh yes, while I am at it.. there is more! This will be a bitter sweet blog, but one that deserved to stand alone. There is one more thing that you may not know about ABCs, there is and will be no better time/circumstances to explain. Now to start, if you look over to the left.. and probably down a smidgen, you will see a pretty red and while logo with two leaves. This is The Maple Leaf Mission. ABCs Memories is a very proud member of this insanely amazing group. The Maple Leaf Mission's mission is to give the gift of life in pictures. I have been asked a couple of times, and for those of you wondering, no this is not just for terminal cases. We actually offer three different types of sessions to cover;Your Moment Session: To qualify for a “Your Moment Session” a family has one member of any age who is dealing with either a debilitating or potentially terminal illness (be it ongoing or in remission), a genetic condition, has undergone or is about to undergo major surgery or has survived a devastating physical accident but are living your everyday life to the fullest despite your diagnosis. Examples we have currently offered sessions to are- Epilepsy Seizures, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Paralysis, Stroke, Blepharophimosis, you are in remission from cancer, you had open heart surgery, an amputation, any sort of transplant (kidney, heart, lung, liver ) we cannot name every condition but we will be sure to add to the list as we make memories for families, sky’s the limit for this category. One More Moment Session: “One More Moment Sessions” are meant for those families with members of any age with terminal illnesses, who want to capture one last memory of their beloved before the end sadly comes. For a “Terminal Prognosis or a Life limiting Diagnosis” (All age groups) of a family member, yourself or friends, even of a pet its hard to want to pick up your camera and capture that wonderful look of love, that single tear from a mother holding her child or just capturing that pure joy of any family together after such a devastating diagnosis. We would be absolutely honored to help you in making those memories come true. We offer Photography sessions absolutely free of charge at any time after a prognosis/diagnosis has been made. These sessions can be taken from your/their healthiest to your/their sickest and there is NO limitation on who has to be terminally ill to qualify as we accept any/all situations and any ages. This session does not have to be taken during your loved ones final moments but can be requested if that is what is needed or wanted.Military Moment Session: For homecoming reunions we strive to capture the pure love and joy that you show the world when you see your loved one for the first time after their journey abroad. Its absolutely unbelievable capturing those beautiful faces that light up as a mother or father, sister or brother, son or daughter even aunt or uncle walks off the airplane after a long period of time of not being able to see or touch each other. For deployments majority of individuals are overcome with their own emotion that the camera is often forgotten in their hand as they give kisses and hugs for the last time as they leave for their deployment. Injured soldiers are offered sessions with their families to celebrate the life they have together despite the devastating injury. If you are part of any branch of the Military then our goal is to capture those moments that can never be captured again for you. We are going to make a difference in many families lives that are dealing with deployments and homecoming reunions. We also offer regular sessions as a pre-deployment or after a homecoming as we know not everyone is able to participate in and actual homecoming/deployment.For more information please check out the official website by going to http://themapleleafmission.ca/ or clicking on the logo at the bottom of this post (magical song at the bottom wrote by our very own MLM President/Founder Tonikka Jackman-Mott)and also the facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/themapleleafmission. It wasn't until after losing family members and friends that I had those "I wish" thoughts. I wasn't a member of MLM yet and wish someone had told me, some day, you will want all the memories you can hold.Thank you all so much, it can be a lot of info to take in but it isn't a subject I can just say here is the website, check it out. Being there for families when they might need it most, is one of the most rewarding times of this "job". Please share and share a like if you know anyone who may want/need/qualify to be a Maple Leaf, this is in no way a profit for myself and it is all free to the client.
