Because my fiancé Joshua says to me “hey, don’t be mean to my fiancé”.........

As part of this months Anti-Bullying campaign, as we take extra time and care to remind each other that every human is deserving to feel accepted for who they are, to treat everyone with kindness

I am challenging the bullying, the negative self talk, within myself that I have carried on; even once the outside source bullies left. That echo chamber of what they said, I will put out the fire on that torch, and rest my arm from carrying such a heavy weight

I will allow myself forgiveness as the hot coals still glow, trying to rekindle the flames, a fire this big can’t be put out over night but overtime the ash will soon be where the fire was and with one swift wind will be lifted away

I accept that wounded person within me as she heals, she didn’t mean what she said under the influence, and as she shows remorse and change I’ll show her grace. As I offer a safe judgement free place to others, I remind myself at all levels I’m accepted too. If I, wasn’t me, I’d be my friend

We can give ourselves the same consideration for kindness, as we are finding ways to give to others. And don’t forget -
