Let Them Be

Let them be, anytime you can.

Let them choose their clothes.

Let them choose their hair and in available cases let them choose their background.

For a brief thirty minute impromptu, we had fun last night, we laughed and suddenly I remembered why I started on this venture.

Because taking the kids to get their pictures taken was a nightmare and never fun, I thought I could change that -and then I spent the first several years still fighting with my kids about clothes and hair to have even more perfect shots that would represent me and my budding business in a better light...

I lost sight of just wanting it to be easier and fun.

But, the pictures I am going to remember, I’m going to love the most... are ones that were fun!

I don’t want to look at pictures over the years and remember I fought with him that day because he didn’t want to wear (picture worthy clothes) or he didn’t want to brush his hair.

So just know any and all times you see what may be to you, my kids looking homely in pictures, we had fun in those moments.

That isn’t to say if they are clean cut we fought -it’s just the reason most will be less kept in appearance and more in making memories.
